Two years after quitting her erstwhile
records label, Flytime Music, singer Seyi Shay has finally hooked up
with the United Kingdom based Island Records.
The artiste, who has also been nominated
for an award at the forthcoming MTV African Movie Awards scheduled to
hold in Capetown next month, has signed a recording contract with
Universal Music Group.
Celebrating the deal on Twitter, Seyi
tweeted, “Finally! This is what most of us work so hard for. We spend
most of our lives chasing this opportunity to reach the world through a
giant platform like this. I can’t believe it. @islandrecordsuk
and I have signed a global recording contract this evening in London. I
