Due to the partial success in containing the Ebola virus, the Federal Government has permitted the resumption of primary and secondary schools around the country.
The development was announced today, September 5, 2014  by the Minister of Education, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau after an emergency meeting in Abuja.
The minister reportedly said that all public and private schools in the country would be allowed to reopen on September 22.
The schools were earlier ordered to remain closed till October 13 due to the outbreak of the Ebola virus in the country.
Shekarau also reportedly said that the ministries of education in all states should ensure that at least two staff of each school are trained on how to handle suspected cases of Ebola.
