Infant twin young men dumped in Lagos trench, discovered dead


The Lagos State Police Command has started examination concerning the demise of two infants, whose cadavers were recuperated from a waterway next to a filling station in the Ajangbadi range of the state.

People learnt that the two young men, suspected to be twins, were left in the trench on Friday.
A horde of inhabitants, who were attracted to the scene, was accounted for to have begun taking depictions of the infants before the entry of policemen from the Ilemba Hausa division.

Subsequent to seeing the bodies, the policemen were said to have called the consideration of the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit, which expelled and kept them in a funeral home.

A police source asked why the occupants did not act instantly they saw the children, including that the twins were dead when the police arrived.

He said, "An occupant alarmed us to the scene. When we arrived, the children were at that point dead. There was a horde of spectators, some of them were taking depictions. It is likely that the children were dropped by their mom for reasons best known not.

"We sought every one of the groups to check whether we could discover her or any individual who could volunteer any valuable data, yet we proved unable. It is pitiful that while numerous ladies are searching for youngsters, somebody could take two infant young men and dump them in a waterway."

Whenever reached, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, affirmed the occurrence, including that examination was continuous.

She said, "We got the data around 1pm on Friday and our agents appended to the Ilemba Hausa division went there and saw the carcasses of the babies in the channel. We found that they were two carcasses of infant male children, stuffed in a polythene pack and relinquished by the trench by obscure person(s).

"The carcasses were expelled and stored at the Badagry General Hospital funeral home for dissection. Be that as it may, exertion is on to find the perpetrator(s) of the demonstration."
