A forty year old woman, Seyi Oye, on Tuesday, committed suicide at the Agric area of Olu Foam in Akure.
The deceased husband, Gbenga Adewunmi, while briefing newsmen on the
development said he was shocked to see his wife dead when his co-tenants
took him to the scene.
Adewunmi explained that he has been having issues with Seyi, his wife of eight years especially with regards to the unemployment status of both of them.
He admitted that there has been misunderstanding between them on several occasions which prompted him to marry another wife when seyi left him briefly before the issue was resolved.
He further hinted that her death came as a shock as he constantly pleaded with her to take things easy because he was making frantic efforts to get a better job.
Detectives from the Ondo state Police Command who visited the scene have however promised to carry out necessary investigation as soon as the corpse is evacuated.
