Real Madrid to pay Martin Odegaard £80K per week

Real Madrid have completed the signing of 16-year old Martin Odegaard from Norwegian side Stromsgodset.

Being one of the most sought after players, Odegaard who just turned 16 last December joined Real, with reports in the Spanish media claiming that around 3m euros was paid for his services.

He will reportedly earn about £80,000 per week at Real Madrid in the contract he signed that will run until 2020.

Odegaard has come with a lot of promises. He is the youngest footballer in history to play in a European Championship qualifier

And Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has praised their new acquisition, saying that: “He is a young player with a future and bags of quality”.

"It's a dream come true for me," Odegaard said at his official presentation. "I don't feel any pressure really. I want to become the best player possible.

"Real Madrid was the best chance for me to develop. They offered me the most opportunities."

Real confirmed that Odegaard will be training with both their first team and their Castilla side, the team.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the world," he said. "Gareth Bale and Isco are amazing players.

"I met with the Real Madrid players and they are extraordinary players."
